Royal Patron
“Thailand is progressing forward in many areas of the national developments efforts, however, we must bear in mind that, developmental success must go hand in hand with the success of the conservation of our natural resources because the quality of life depends on the quality of the environment. For this reason, the works of Wildlife Fund Thailand are admirable.”
Wildlife Fund Thailand
Under The Royal Patronage of Her Majesty The Queen
Wildlife Fund Thailand Under The Royal Patronage of Her Majesty The Queen (WFT) was established on October 13th, 1983 by Dr. Boonsong Lekagul, the pioneer of the nature conservation movement in Thailand. The organization has been graciously accepted under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother.
Thoughts from President
All of the natural resources on the planet are organs of the earth’s body. Earth is immortal and unconquerable. Earth’s functioning natural systems harbor millions or billions of diversity of life forms that emerge, exist, and disappear according to the rhythm of nature. Life generates new lives which serve to maintain the life cycle of the living earth. The predator and prey system keeps life’s energy in constant motion. Every living organism is equipped with a “defense mechanism” which assists in the survival of each individual, hence, the species.
